1. Cockroaches

2. Spiders
The majority of spider species are actually pretty harmless, and they even eat other bugs – but that doesn’t mean you want them in your apartment. Even though most spiders can’t do any harm to humans, two of the deadliest spider species – the black widow and the brown recluse – live in Texas. Plus, there isn’t a worse feeling than accidentally walking through a spider web.
3. Scorpions
Besides providing inspiration for one of the best/worst movies of the 2000s, scorpions don’t have much to offer us besides a fearsome sting that can be deadly in certain circumstances. These nocturnal creatures like to live in cool, moist spaces like bathrooms and kitchens. You definitely don’t want to mess with these guys.
4. Bed bugs
Bed bugs are the scourge of apartment owners and tenants far and wide, but they thrive in the heat. This makes San Antonio apartments the perfect place for bed bugs to reside. Bed bugs drink human blood, so if you start to see small, red welts pop up on your skin, you might want to check for bed bugs.
5. Ants
There are hundreds of species of ants in the state of Texas. One of the most common most damaging species is the crazy ant. Crazy ants are attracted to sugar, but they are more well known for destroying electronics. The last thing any San Antonian wants is to have their air conditioner destroyed, especially in the middle of the summer. Remember, ants work together. If you see one, there are plenty more to follow.
